Well, 2019 was a busy year for various markets and shows! I was so excited to participate in the shows in 2019 and was looking forward to more shows for 2020. However, due to COVID19, most have been cancelled. There have been a few that have gone ahead and they are listed below. I will add more to the list as the year progresses. I get asked a lot about how much work is it to do Art/Craft Market Shows, and yes, while it is a lot of work, I really love it! How often do you get to talk to people about something you love to do and are so passionate about? It's wonderful to have people stop by and ask questions about the jewelry or how it's made. People are always so amazed when I say "I make my own beads". I'm also very fortunate in that I have a husband who is super supportive, helps with creating my display as well as setting up and taking down. You can usually find him chatting to people as they are walking by, inviting them to get a closer look. So, if you get a chance, drop by and say hello at any one of the shows I'll be in this year. It would be great to see you and show you what I love doing!
Well, yes, there are very few shows for 2020 because of COVID19, but there are a few events that I am participating in.
Red Trillium Studio Tour - October 24th, 25th, 2020. www.redtrilliumst.com I'm thrilled to be participating in the Red Trillium Studio Tour! This is a well established studio tour (over 20 years) and it gives people a chance to visit home studios and speak with the artists. I'm excited to have Kevin and Sandra of MurKay Creations as guest artists. They are amazing glass artists and I love their work. We will be adhearing to Ottawa Public Health precautions to keep people safe. So most of the displays and set up will be outdoors under shelter. There will be hand sanitizer available, social distancing, and everyone will be wearing masks (with a smile behind that mask!). UPDATE: Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our studio on the Red Trillium Studio Tour! It was a great weekend! We chatted with lots of folks and it was so much fun to demonstrate how we work with glass. Looking forward to next year!
